Not ‘hot’ anymore even after good reviews and beautiful pics taken on the surrounding temples and ‘yummy’ food. Took my parents and JS+WH. The most memorable event was the speed boat ride. It was quite difficult for old folks to get down from the jetty as there were no rail for them to hold on […]

BUt nothing compares to Malacca’s satay celop. I know many Singaporeans flocked to the satay celup shops in theĀ late afternoon, behind Stadtaus. Hey, but there’s always that […]

I like the Tiger brand Heong Peah from Teluk Intan. Besides the ever popular chee-cheong-farn (with ingredients on plain flour), the next best thing is the Heong Peah. Ori shop is at Jalan Mak Intan. I’ve bought the same pack of 18’s from a shop in Tangkak but is not as crunchy and nice as […]

One thing that I patron without failure when we’re back to Teluk Intan is Mastam Ghani’s mee rebus. Yumm, two stores, ori in town while the other is in Pekan Baru (on the way to Lumut). Ask for extra udang…it’s worth it!
